Company description::
“Old Pasadena Summer Fest” moves its 15th anniversary celebration from Old Pasadena’s Central Park to a new more spacious location, Brookside Park; located south of the world-famous Rose Bowl and adjacent to the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center, in the beautiful 132-acre Arroyo Seco.

The Memorial Day weekend festival presents five events simultaneously—May 29, 30 and 31 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily—offers fans live musical entertainment on two stages, an international food fest, a children’s area, a sports zone, and over 100 fine art and crafts exhibits.

Admission to the event is free and plenty of parking is available. Visit the website at www.OldPasadenaSummerFest.com for a sneak preview or call the hotline at 626.797.0421 for additional information.

Old Pasadena Summer Fest producer Ray Leier said, “This will mark only the second time that the Summer Fest has moved and we are doing so now only to make this an even better event for the more than 100,000 friends and fans who attend each year.”

“Brookside Park is a great location! The new site is 40% larger, will accommodate parking for all of our guests, offers fans more room to spread out and be comfortable, and allows us more space for additional attractions, exhibits and restaurants.”

“Because of the exceptional space available at Brookside, visitors to the Old Pasadena Summer Fest for the first time will be permitted to bring their own beach chairs to the music area at the Playboy Jazz stage.”

“Central Park has been an outstanding venue for us for 14 years and we feel that Brookside Park will help make the Summer Fest and even greater attraction for Pasadena, for the Los Angeles area and for all of Southern California.”

The “15th Anniversary Old Pasadena Summer Fest” will continue to present five events umbrellaed under one banner: Playboy Jazz at Brookside Park, Family Fun Fest, Summer Art Fest, A Taste of Summer, and The Sports Zone, with a portion of the food and beverage sales benefiting the Education Careers Academy – Marshall Fundamental School and the Pasadena Scholarship Committee.

Admission to the event is free! This year, festival goers are permitted to bring beach/lawn chairs (no recliners) to the new location. However, as in past years, NO umbrellas, canopies, coolers or picnic baskets, glass containers, alcoholic beverages, audio recorders, video cameras, barbecue grills or dogs will be allowed entry to the site. Plenty of food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Playboy Jazz at Brookside Park presents all day long live performances—from contemporary/ smooth and traditional jazz, to R&B, blues, Afro-Cuban and Latin/salsa—beginning at 11:00 a.m. daily.
