SOUND, VIDEO & LIGHTING FOR PIONEER TELEPHONE
Corporate Rental Project.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (December 12, 2003) – Ford Audio-Video recently provided sound, video and lighting for Pioneer Telephone Cooperative’s annual employee meeting. The event took place on November 18th at the fairgrounds of the small, rural city of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, with 700 Pioneer personnel in attendance. Pioneer has been holding this annual meeting for 30 years. The past five years Pioneer has been utilizing sound, video and lighting for this meeting.
“In all the years of setting up for this meeting, cables and cords have always been an issue; rugs and tape for safety measure. This year’s crew arranged the necessary equipment and cabling to achieve the greatest…[safety of] our employees. It was a professional job, start to finish,” said Margie Hufnagel, Pioneer’s Training Manager.
The sound system was comprised of JBL speakers, Crown amplifiers, an Allen and Heath mixer, and Sennheiser EB100 wireless, UHF microphones. Video services included a Dalite 9’x12’, fast-fold, rear-projection screen, a Mitsubishi XL30U projector, a Canon XL1 video camera, and an Analog Way Smart Cut 2 video scaler/switcher. Throughout the meeting, images switched between live video and Power Point presentations. To supplement house lighting, truss mounted ellipsoidal lights illuminated the speakers and stage, while Par 64s lit the backdrop.
“This was the third year we have worked this event, and the past experience has enabled us to meticulously plan for a flawless event. We transformed an exhibit hall at a fairground into a corporate event environment, which enabled Pioneer to take advantage of all aspects of the sound, lighting and video equipment. Smooth cooperation and communication between Pioneer’s event staff and our crew ensured the project ran flawlessly. By supplying our truck with extra equipment, we were able to add items on the fly per the client’s request. For example, we added a Lucite podium and a remote cueing system. In addition, when asked, we captured and edited the client’s logo for static video presentation. We in the Rental Center are dedicated to making any event professionally seen and heard – without our staff being seen or heard,” said FAV Rental Coordinator David Green.
“This event was a great occasion for everyone involved. Everything went as planned. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to assisting in this event in the coming years,” said FAV Rental Coordinator Patrick Gray.
