City Ballet of Los Angeles will pay trite to one of the worlds most intriging artist Janet Collins former ballarina of the Metropolitan Opera,performed in Cole Porters Out of This World,danced with companys of Talley Beatty, Horton and Katherine Dunham. Malesha Jessie Opera singer will sing some the Arias that Janet Collins gave such artistic flair too when perfoming at the Metropoitan Opera.Artistic Director Robyn Gardenhir will give an indepeth look at Ms. Collins life.
City Ballet of Los Angeles is a professional ballet company and school dedicated to disassociating privilege with art and to giving economically and socially disadvantaged youth the opportunity to be apart of the ballet.(CBLA) has been recognized and honored by Mayor James Hahn and has garnered a cover story in the Los Angeles Times, Watts Times and Wave publications.
