WHAT: 25th Annual Venice Art Walk
WHO: Over 400 emerging and established Southern California artists will donate original works of art for the Venice Art Walk’s silent auction or will open the doors of their working studios to the public for tours.
In honor of the 25th anniversary year, artist and actor/director Dennis Hopper, a resident of Venice, will serve as honorary chair with his wife, actress Victoria Duffy, and will donate a work of art for the event, as will well-known sculptor Robert Graham, to raise funds for the Venice Family Clinic. The official 25th anniversary Venice Art Walk poster features an image by renowned Venice artist Laddie John Dill. The artwork for the 2004 Venice Art Walk t-shirt is by guerrilla artist Robbie Conal.
WHERE: All events start or take place at Westminster School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, CA 90291. Free parking and continuous shuttle buses will be available for the public all day on Sunday, May 23.
Parking arrangements and credentials for media are available by contacting Sonnonstine Public Relations at (562) 435-5727 or (562) 212-5317 (cell).
WHY: The Venice Art Walk raises funds for the Venice Family Clinic, the largest free clinic in the United States, and supports its work in providing medical care to uninsured individuals and families in Los Angeles County who would otherwise have no access to health care.
